Lights, especially torches, get brighter and slightly bigger radius when i get closer to them, and "discover them"
So just like the title says. And once the bigger and brighter radius is "unlocked" it stays that way no matter how far away I am from the light.

I used to have such an issue before, and someone told me a way in which you reset all light sources or something like that, it was a command i think. I can't find that thread now or can't remember the solution to this issue. It fised it right there, my bad for not writting it down. Anyone knows how to deal with it?

PS: The instalation is BRAND NEW, clean, all the previous files deleted both in game folder and my documents, steam cloud is off, new game no mods, no ini edits. Like i said, i KNOW there is solution to is, some global light reset but just can't find it anywhere.

Why is this bad?
It's like it pops up as bigger and brighter, it looks unrealistic and disgusting tbh, it's like someone is switching a boost on those lights when i geat close enough. Not a cool thing right?
I know that there is a fix for it, a way to reset all lights sources in all interiors but can't find where i read it previously for the life of me...

Maybe turn down the light fade setting in your options? As you get closer to light sources, they appear more prominent. But with light fade set to low you will have to be pretty close for them to shine brighter so to speak.
It's not what you think of. Again, it's like a switch. And I already had such an issue and I already had a fix for it. Just lost it. I thank you for bumping this thread but trust me, it's a bug. And no, I'm not gona play on ultra low to walk around a bug that can be fixed xD

Did you update your video drivers? New drivers do bad things to old games. Is your monitor set to adjust the viewing comfort automatically? You said no mods, but what about ENB? Some people don't consider those mods, for some strange reason, and thus think it's OK to not mention them.

Also, when you uninstalled your previous modded game, did you delete the Data folder it left behind in the installation directory?

IIRC, Dawnguard added some new image space settings which affected certain areas, to go with the whole vampire mood thing.

Deleted everything, just like you do clean install. No ENB. It's not about global light, it's about light sources poping in, switching brighter when im close enough. I'll try record what im talking about later today. Btw same thing happens in Skyrim SE now :/
I'm almost sure that the fix for that bug was a game command that had to do with reseting or switching on and off all light sources in the game...

This is normal "light fade" in action. Light sources "pop in" when you get closer.

There is NOTHING normal about it. And it CAN be fixed and I already did once I keep telling you. It's not a "fade" because once discovered they stay the way they poped out.

Exit the dungeon then return, do you see any difference?
Ok so its not LIGHT SOURCES! It;s those damn TORCHES! And when i get out the cave and go back in they reset to being dim again. But as long as I'm IN the dungeon, no matter how far i go they stay full brigh lit.

Yea this is normal. Exiting the dungeon resets them and this is what always happens.
