Helgen Reborn: Molon Labe quest. Korst bugged inside the Thalmor Prison. Fixed.

To anyone having trouble with the Helgen Reborn quest, Molon Labe, I have a solution if your quest bugged out when rescuing Korst. I'm using Skyrim 10th Anniversary Edition, but this should work for all Skyrim versions on PC.

Firstly, the quest doesn't advance normally if you enter the Thalmor Prison without Falco and Cienna. However, if you fought through the prison on your own, and free Korst from his shackles, he will crouch down injured, and remain stuck that way. You cannot revive him without Cienna. She is scripted to heal him, which advances the quest.

You will need to use console commands to bring Cienna and Falco to join you and Korst. In my game the code for Falco is 3000F005, and 3000F004 for Cienna. The first two digits will vary depending on your particular load order. I went back to an earlier save and clicked on them both, from within the console, to verify their IDs, then re-loaded the bugged save from inside the prison, with the stricken Korst.

My console sequence was as follows:
Prid 3000F005
moveto player
Prid 3000F004
moveto player

This brought the team back together and Cienna immediately healed Korst. The quest advanced normally from that point.

is it compatible with the AE DLC? That might be the problem. it can break some mods that weren't updated to run with the AE DLC yet

I don't think Helgen Reborn has been updated to AE yet. I have completed it on a previous character without any problems though.

I don't think Helgen Reborn has been updated to AE yet. I have completed it on a previous character without any problems though.

Then yeah that is probably why it did that since you said you have the AE DLC " I'm using Skyrim 10th Anniversary Edition, but this should work for all Skyrim versions on PC." so no it don't work for all versions which included the AE DLC update and AE is SE with the Creation Club content added

Thanks so much. I was really struggling, as my save got overwritten from right before I got the quest, and I didn't wanna jump back that far, so I looked up the quest and found your post
