If you don't mind the risks of using the console, you could save the game, then use player.moveto <lydia's RefID> and find out. I did that with some corpse and found a strange room with many corpses of my murder victims.

For kicks, if you murdered someone like Gresalda the Kind, try warping to her.

If you own breezehouse (or is it breezehome, your house in whiterun), she will be there. Otherwise, she will be at Dragonsreach.

She will either be at Breezehome or Dragonsreach. If she is dead, you will find her body in the Hall of the Dead in Whiterun.

About the console: It is your game, use it constantly if you wish. But, when your game breaks because you have misused it, and you come here looking for solutions, you will find very little sympathy. Many of us done that and we know better now.;)

Well sure, if i break it its my problem but when i ask for help you dont have to be a ♥♥♥♥ about it and call names on me.

It's a tool, use the right tool for the right job.
There is risk in life, only way to learn is to try.
Research first, be methodical. If it breaks, fix it, or revert.
Continuing a save across patches can beak a game. That is why QA doesn't do that normally.
Introducing more alterations to game via any source (like mods) has risk also.

For that matter, this isn't a mod only forum. People use the console and need help too. If people are conscerned they won't get help or treated well, because they used the console, then they won't fess up to it and there will be unknown variables when the mod savy pelple try to help.

i know this is not a mod only forum, i do not even have any mods or add ons or work shop stuff on my skyrim. Its Vanilla as it can be
