Is it worth playing again?
Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was the second game I ever played and still one of the best games out of the 20 plus I have bought over the years. Steam says I had 700 hours played. I think it was way more than that. I bought every home, decorated it extensively, had every piece of armor, followers, a ton of mods, etc.

I am getting the urge to play again from scratch. I have not done this with any other game. How many of you have done a second play through and was it fun or did everything seem too familiar and grindy?

I played the first time in 2016. Is there anything new that would make it more amazing this time around in 2021? Graphics, updates, etc. Thanks for any feedback.

I have played through this game countless times by now.
One way to make a new playthrough more interesting is, obviously, by using mods.
Mods can change the whole game basically and can even make it look photorealistic.

Other than that you can always choose a different playstyle. Different weapons, siding with different factions etc.
Exploring the whole map, playing a different race and roleplay with it.

You can basically do whatever you want here so I'd say give it another shot.

According to Steam, I have the special edition as well but never played it. I just read an article that it was the least well received version of the game. Have you ever tried this version?

I just use it to get my jollies off, then when I can no longer do that, I move on, until the time strikes me again and I "use" it again.

I would say yes. Every week I get 1-4 games. Most of them I can't play...bad everything...But Skyrim is different...Its a classic...built to play over and over again. There's lots of great downloads that you get from here or from Nexus. You can even try your hand at making your very own mod. Get involved in conversations and meet new people from all over the world. You really can't get any better than that. All of this set in an open world for you to explore.

I was just remembering the thieve's guild quests and how much I didn't really enjoy that. I had the game maxed out with progress and mods. I open it once in a while and take a look at some of my houses and armor and then I just end up shutting it down again, been there done that, that's why I'm asking.

It does not matter to play without mods or with mods, after a while of playing it will always be the same, you kill and return for the reward, you go to a place you clear it and reward, either with mods or without mods, all the games after 1 hour of play you do the same, it's not just skyrim, it's funny that someone says they don't like it because it is repetitive when he plays another game like counter strike or guild wars 2, after 1 hour you do the same, if you don't do fractals , you do raids, and if not dungeons and it always turns out with the passage of time everything the same.
I will never get tired of Skyrim, take out the 6 or the 80, although by 80, I will have already kicked the bucket towards in Sovngarde.
and remember u
-You'll be so much easier to rob when you're dead.
-0nce was a woman, as fair as an evenin', of springtime in old Stros M'Kai.
-With three beers down, the Orc did frown, and bid the Elf goodbye for none could know, was not for show, and someone had to die
-M'aiq thinks that being your friend is dangerous
-Old norse saying - Victory or Sovngarde

I think you're in the minority. Most of us get the itch at least once a year to do a playthrough. Not much changes except what you decide you're going to do. Maybe a different build; or roleplay a meaner character (or vice versa); different tactics, maybe just forget the main plot and explore. Use a few exploits and have fun with it - spent a lovely playthrough once punching dragons to death.

Basically it will always be the same old Skyrim, it's only your imagination that makes it different each time.

I don't care about the minority, when I play a game I want to remember how it gave me those good times. I use mods but not many, but it doesn't change like some mods that hentai dolls come out with built-in xxlll airbags, or I just create another character to use dead slaves or I throw myself from the top of the high hrothgar with a horse and I disintegrate leaving the flying horse on all fours, there are a thousand ways to die in skyrim and a thousand things to do

Turtleswatter / WildNero - I have uploaded a whole bunch of new mods that make the gameplay different. Mods like:

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2406964320

I have incentive mods like:

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2338056588

which actually make you want to complete faction questlines like the thieves guild.

Theses are my hits from the 1st quarter - 2021:

So what. you go, kill, and reward, it does not matter new enemies, if I do not say that skyrim is bad, I only say that with mods or without mods, and a while playing, you always do the same.
That is missing, that more branches of skill be added, if you already need if you are a god

That's sort of my point. I was a god spawning as many as 10 giants or 10 of the black knight that you fight toward the end of the game. I was slaying them without breaking a sweat.

i with mods you sweat more?
because we are talking about a game that does not have a limit of lv, then it does not matter how powerful they are, you will always be more
