Northwatch will not respawn?
So with the help of barbas I cleared the Thalmor fortress super easy and freed the Son. Since these volcano-stuff have relatively much value and atm is the best light armor I can get I wanted to first sell everything I can carry and then come back and get the rest and keep it for myself. I sold it ... I came back within one IG day and all the bodies are gone ...
Normally these lie around forever and you can loot them in peace and sell(My first killed cultist in Whiterun is still lying there naked and is examined here and then by people ...). Is this a glitch or is this intentional and are there more places where this can happen?

Have googled and also found out that this place does not reset after XY time? So I have to get volcano armor differently?

Many cells that normally reset after a while will have their counter re-set every time you visit them. By visiting a location constantly, you can often prevent it from re-setting. This is probably what's happened to you in Whiterun; normally it does reset, but you may be visiting it too frequently for that to happen (as long as you go to it every 10 to 30 in-game days, it'll never reset).

Some areas though will automatically reset when you leave them. That's probably what happened to Northwatch keep. Note, that I rarely do that quest myself, and on the few occasions I have I never go back there. I just know I had this happen to me once in Oblivion, which resulted in me loosing a huge amount of valuable items I had to drop just so I could get to a city to unload. I was quite pissed about that, as you can imagine. I'm not 100% sure there's any cells in Skyrim that behave the same way, but its the only thing I could figure.

As for this 'volcano armor', I have no idea what you could be talking about. There is no such item in the game, so this armor must be coming from a mod. You should probably check the mod page to see if there's any other way you can acquire it.

Nope, its not from a mod. I don't use any mod. I probably just don't know the English name for it. In German it is called Vulkanglas Armor. Thalmor wear this armor, next to the elven armor. But yes, I was also pretty pissed when I went back and suddenly everything was gone ... xx

Ah in english its just called glass-armor lol. I know I can craft these myself, but just stealing them and selling excess would have been so much easier ~~.

Glass armor spawns in boss chests I think, and you can also buy it from merchants. You don't have to craft it. I don't know if bandits carry it or not (can't recall ever seeing one wearing it, their options for armor seem quite limited). As for the Thalmor, you can find more Thalmor, particularly at higher levels, that wear it instead of Elven. Its quite common for players to complain about how mods that turn the Elven armor black (which is more fitting for the Thalmor) are useless once Thalmor soldiers start spawning in glass.

So yes, you'll get plenty of opportunities to find more. As stated, you can find it on merchants and in boss chests. You may even be able to find them on bandits. And as you've seen, you can definitely find them on Thalmor. You can also simply craft your own if you want. Its not exactly a super-rare armor set.

But is this a glitch, or intended? So that I have to expect it later with some things?

You can get glass armor from basically anywhere, you can buy it, make it, find it in chests, loot it from bodies, not just northwatch keep. It looks ugly anyway, so i'd not even bother using it, but to each their own.

But this was not my question ...
My question was, if the despawn of enemys after just 1 port in northwatch is intended or a glitch. And when it is intended if it happens again, so that i can change my playstyle.

There are a few places where enemies do not respawn, some are intended, some probably an oversight. Northwatch is intended, you kick Thalmor butt, you even get ingame replies from guards from doing that.

Despawning enemy, i know that they not respawn. My question was, if it is normal that killed enemys despawn after 1 port while trying to sell their valuables ^^.

Oh sorry, my mistake, was completely missing the point by just, reading to fast.

Yeah some enemies despawn rather quick, most enemies despawn after a few days, some despawn faster and very rarely they never despawn. Best is to loot the bodies and deposit the stuff in a container, those usually have a minimum of 10 days to "clear". Never rely on random containers to deposit your own stuff in though.

yeah sorry I misread. Anyway if they didn't respawn when you did that quest I'd say you saved him before you started the quest and it was much easier completing it lol Also you wouldn't have really spoiled it since there is enough of us here that have actually done that quest and no worries

"If the entire fort is cleared prior to the quest Missing In Action, only the inside of the fort will be reset when the quest progresses to the objectives in which you are required to save Thorald."
https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Northwatch_Keep

Some forts that you clear will be taken over by either the Stormcloaks or the Imperials. Ownership of anything you leave behind will belong to them, too.
It's best to just waddle out with everything and dump stuff on the road or at least outside of the fort and then come back to it.

During the civil war, a lot of bodies will disappear right in front of you. It annoyed me so much I let everyone else to the fighting and focus on getting my loot.
Skyrim belongs to the looters.
