Questgiver NPC hostile. How to make friendly again?
Hi, im new to Skyrim and I think i broke the game. Theres this NPC called "Ralof". His sister is dead and (i think?) his brother in law. Either way, Ralof is an important questgiver and im assuming i cant continue the main Questline because hes not getting friendly again.

I let him kill me but even after that the NPCs dont respawn and Ralof is repeatedly killing me, so im completely stuck :steamfacepalm: Does anyone know a save solution to fix this? ty

Just go to Whiterun and talk to the Jarl. Straight through Riverwood, over the river and turn right. Follow the road and you will see a city off to the left, go there. But sounds like you are not very far along in the game. You might just want to start a new game.

1. Try drawing then sheathing weapon.
2. High enough in illusion - try a Calm spell.
3. Go do something else for a few days - maybe he will have calmed down.

Could use the console, but that could create more problems than you have.
Hope 1 of the top 3 work.

Would this be the Ralof you mentioned attacking a bunch of times, in another thread? Why on Nirn would he be hostile to you?

In fact, Ralof is not a very important NPC at all. I suggest doing as cfs111 said. You do not need Ralof for anything, go directly to the Jarl of Whiterun. Or, if you are in Riverwood, stop by the store there and ask a few questions.
