Which modpack to download?
I'm thinking of reinstalling the game but I want to fill it with mods. The thing is I hate to have to balance the game myself so I'd like some suggestions on decent modpacks out there. I've heard about Ultimate Skyrim but I'm not sure the survival simulator thing is really for me, I've never really felt it fits good to the game but I'm guessing there's more.

First choice would be OF COURSE my mod list: http://wiki.funiaita.de/index.php/Skyrim#Mod_list

But it is not a modpack. So not what you asked for :-)

Some days earlier there was release for a conversion for the SE version: Enderal that was when I realized it exists for the normal version of Skyrim too: https://store.steampowered.com/app/933480/Enderal_Forgotten_Stories/

Perhaps just try it? No idea if you'd like it.

Using a mod pack is a very iffy proposition.. When you do so you are assuming that the computer system you have is the same as the system that the person who created the mod pack is running.

The pack may run fine for you but the more likely result is you are going to have constant problems trying to get a stable game with it.

You are better off, in my opinion, putting in some time and effort reading the pinned threads and learning the basics of modding for yourself.

Enderal technically has nothing to do with Skyrim but having Skyrim itself

Does that mod overwrite the original Skyrim or can both be played separately? The reason I am asking is because I am checking out the game via family share and I want to finish my first run at the game before looking at total conversions. Also I am wondering if I should do my first play threw with no mods at all or if adding adding mods would enhance the experience. I been looking at a Conan mod that caught my eye. lol Thanks in advance mates.:steamhappy:

entirely different game so no it doesn't effect Skyrim at all. you Just have to have Skyrim installed to be able to install it

ALmost forgot to mention you need Skyrim installed to be able to play Enderal as well

You do not need to have Skyrim installed, you just need to own Skyrim and have it registered through Steam. Enderal does not affect Skyrim install in any way. I have both installed for LE and SE.

As already explained: don't use modpacks. They may be convenient on some systems, but not on all, maybe not even yours. Install the mods you like with a mod manager and use LOOT for proper load order.
