Should i start DLC at this point?
I have Skyrim Legendary edition with all 3 DLC's. I am playing Skyrim for the first time. Currently i am at lvl 11. I havent joined Imperials or Stormclock. I want to ask is it proper time to start any of DLC, or doing DLC's either before or along the main storyline will make the main story redundant or boring? Also which DLC should i start first? Plz suggest me without any spoilers.

Dawnguard can be started at this level.
So can Hearthfires, but that's mostly building your houses.

Dragonborn I would leave until at least level 30.

I'd recommend going at least level 20 before trying out either Dawnguard or Dragonborn DLCs.

Although your completion of main questline has little bit of impact on Dragonborn DLC, but that's just dialogue mostly and it doesn't really do much.

I thought Dragonborn started at the same time as Dawnguard at least it has for me. Nvm alexander_dougherty I had to reread your post lol But yeah I wait until I finish the Base game (defeating Alduin) and Dawnguard before I do Dragonborn

And there's a spoiler which he asked you not to do. Good job.

Do Hearthfires ASAP. You get a house to store your loot, which is something you want now.

Then do Dawnguard at about level 20 at least, just for the better loot and because some sections are pretty tough.

Do Dragonborn last, at around level 50, either before or after completing the Main Quest and/or Civil War. You will be pressured to do it at a certain point of the main quest, however, but if you can work through those encounters, and hold off until you're high enough, it'll be better. Start too soon and it's just a non-stop struggle.

As most others have said, Hearthfire may be started at any time, Dawnguard is intended for lower leveled characters, and Dragonborn is for higher levels.

Few tips, don't rely on auto saves and quick save. Make manual saves and after an x amount of time start a new manual save. The unofficial patch fixes a lot of bugs, and i do suggest using it, but having some exploits does have its charm for a first run.

Main story line, Dawnguard, then Dragonborn. That is the order you should do them in if you don't want to be come over powered and bored. Even then it could still happen depending on the amount of side quests you finish. Remember, you can adjust the difficulty at any time and it does not affect achievements.

How old is this game? Also it's obvious that everyone knows it's about defeating Alduin no body that plays this game is that stupid. Also you have to be a thane in a hold to be able to start Hearthfire

Well you get a letter from the Jarl First, so I would argue the questline begins before you become a thane

Ok, I'll jump in.

You do not need to be a Thane, nor do you need any letter.

Simply travel to Falkreath at any time, and speak with Jarl Siddgeir. I will often do this at level one or two. (Depending on how I start the game). He will request a bottle of Black-Briar mead. One may easily be obtained just Northwest of the Whiterun Gate at an unmarked bandit camp, or sometimes may be purchased from the local inn.

Doing this will trigger dialog for more work. Complete the following quest, (Usually a mission to eliminate a local bandit leader), to gain the ability to purchase property.

There is the option to travel to Morthal and complete that Jarl's quest. But the quest is considerably more difficult.

Buying property in the Pale is not possible until level 22.
