where to find meridia's beacon?? map is showing dawnstar

meridia's beacon can show up pretty much anywhere, in all my saves it was somewhere different. but it's in a dungeon for certain

It's a radiant item, meaning it comes from anywhere. Just go dungeoning until Meridia starts ranting.

I don't know about that, I found it once in a chest in a minor cave, was pretty dull at the time.

You don't find Meridia's beacon, it finds you. It will be in a chest at level 10. Can't miss it really.

"The Beacon can spawn randomly in any boss chest in the game—including those added by Dawnguard and Dragonborn—amounting to over one hundred fifty possible locations. If you happen to find this beacon, as soon as you put it in your inventory you will hear Meridia's voice say, "A new hand touches the Beacon. Listen. Hear me and obey. A foul darkness has seeped into my temple. A darkness that you will destroy". Meridia's voice will then go on to give the location of her statue."
