Keyboard controls wont work(Solved)

Ever since the release of Skyrim Special Edition my keyboard controls have suddenly stopped working. My keyboard obviosly still works and i can still open and close the steam overlay. To top that off the mouse controls still work. i can look around with my mouse and i can use my weapon but i just can't move, put away my weapon, shout, or open up any menu. I'm kind of frustrated with this issue since Skyrim is now officialy unplayable.

I tried the fix, and it appears not to work. As said in the other thread, installing SE broke this version. I am not a happy camper right now. Hopefully, somebody has a fix. :(

Yeah i also tried the fix and the problem still remains, I honestly don't know what to do. I really want to play my sexy modded Skyrim.

I deleted Skyrim Special Edition. It didn't work anyways and it fixed my keyboard problem. Right now, Skyrim is downloading something...probably to screw it up again.

I deleted the special edition as well. Sadly i still have issues

Well you would. Special Edition is a seperate game, it can't and doesn't affect the original game. Therefore the issue has to be something else.

Have you validated your cache (it's done via the launcher), and if that doesn't work have you tried a reinstall of the game.

The only reason I can think of..... Do you have some kind of controller plugged in? If so then unplug the controller. In some cases you can't use m+k if a controller is plugged in. The only other reason would be some mods. That would be over my brain capacity at the moment and you would need to turn them on and off to try out to find the mod at fault.

I've never used a controller for my pc and the game worked fine up until the release of the Special Edition.

Yes i've validated that game and it cuased some odd bugs that i've had to fix in the files. The problems have started right when the Special Edition was released so it is not a main game issue in itself.

Hey guys i managed to fix it. When the problems started i uninstalled the Special Edition but the issues still remained. I did some digging around today and i found a Skyrim Special Edition folder in the documents folder. I deleted the folder for the Special Edition and the game now works as it had before i installed the Special Edition. Now i can play skyrim again haha.

I am sorry but this issue was 2 years ago and i no longer remember the name of the folder or its location. However i doubt it's the save folder.
