Best way to kill Frost Troll on way to Greybeards

What is the best way? I'm playing on Adept.

Trolls are weak against fire. So... fire enchanted ranged weapons and/or fire magic.

Hit it with a few arrows, then switch to sword.
Fire enchantments help.
Carry plenty of potions.
Don't forget to dodge and block.

I find Marcurio quite effective for this; with his Firebolts and my arrows, the Frost Troll doesn't even reach melee distance (at least at the low difficulty levels I play Skyrim at)

I just bring Lydia and let her use sword, and I use fire. When she goes down, wait until it pauses to swing at you, then use fire and back up.

You can also back up all the way to where Karita is. She will help too.

Read the book on how to slay trolls. I always keep it on hand, along with the skulls of my enemies.

kill it and then sleep immediately to despawn it so it doesn't get back up again and pwn you.
