I remember having a Dragon Priest turn the Dremora from Sanguin's Rose against me when i fought one, however, if you get Conjuration to expert tier, you can learn Conjure Dremora Lord. The latter is unaffected by a Dragon Priest's ability to turn it against you.
If anyone else can verify that, it would be appreciated as my memory isn't what it used to be.
I primarily use staves on characters who do not want to level up a specific skill tree, they are pretty useful for that, challenge runs. And i pretty much always make myself a staff of the storm atronach as soon as level 1 for the heck of it, other than that i throw them away as soon as i can cast the spell version of it.
There is a perk in conjuration called Atromancy which doubles the summon duration to 120 seconds and as stated you can dual cast it for even longer. it requires 50 in conjuration.
Sanguine Rose is very useful for watching your back while mining ore out in the open until you've leveled up Conjuration. Another advantage is that if you have trouble finding a path to whatever is attacking you, you can just follow them.
The mindless filling of soul gems is pretty much required to level up enchantment or to enchant the character's stuff, so don't let that stop you.
Yes. Both dual casting (skill lvl 20) and Atromancy (skill lvl 40). Twin souls (skill lvl 100) just means two of them instead of one.
What's nice about that is then you can give your Sanguine Rose to your follower, and the two of you become 5 of you in combat.
Another advantage to Sanguine Rose is that you can use it as a ranged weapon. Bowman attacking from a ledge you haven't found a path to yet? Reach out and touch them with your Dremora.
Are you saying that is an advantage over casting summon spell? Does the staff have a longer range or something?
It does not, a Dremora lord is melee only so they will always run to the enemy, doesn't matter how you summon em'
