Looking for the ID for a specific line of dialogue

Okay, so partial remedy to starting The Book of Love quest. I found on the unofficial wiki this command that forces an NPC to say a line of dialogue. Thing is, I also need the ID for the line of Dialogue from Dinya Balu that starts the quest. Anyone know where I can find it? Or if someone has something that can?

Sidenote: I've tried the setstage command, but it doesn't work. Starts the quest, but it's completely broken. So don't even ask.

Correct! In the console, select Dinya Balue and type:

say T02DinyaQuestStartTopic

press [Enter] and leave the console. I hope this works. I have never had to use this myself, but according to the Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages this should work.

I sure hope you can find the one for Dragon Rising too. Because I have waited so long to actually do Bleak Falls Barrow, that the main story won't progress upon finishing it now. More forced to do it, to finish Message To Whiterun for The Legion. I'm Level 42.

And the setstage command is not responding! It had worked before.

Skyrim breaks way too easily anymore ever since my migration to PC for it. Every f*cking game anymore, something major breaks that forces me to start over! Also due in part to the fact that whenever I would reach out for help, I'm completely ignored! :'(

You can do Bleak Falls Barrow without starting any quest. Get the Golden Claw and the Dragonstone and return them to the Riverwood Trader and Farengar. The quest will then progress, although without Delphine around in Dragonsreach.

Do you have the Unofficial Patch installed? If not, be sure to install it. It solves lots of bugs in Skyrim's and the DLC's master files. See my guide for download links. Also, be sure to use LOOT (Load Order Optimization Tool) if you are using mods, as it will solve problems caused by incorrect load order.

I will look into this further tomorrow after a nights rest. Time to go to bed!

I do not have it. But I do have 123 Mods installed. I've been reluctant to install it because I have no way of knowing which mods I have that it'll make redundant and which ones it'll break.

And that's when the problem arose with Bleak Falls Barrow completing and Dragon Rising not starting. Tried delivering The Claw, then The Stone. Didn't work. Tried doing Message To Whiterun AFTER Dragon Rising, but that didn't even work, as Dragon Rising never started. I had theorized that the circumstances of how Message To Whiterun ends combined with having Bleak Falls Barrow/Dragon Rising going at the same time broke it. Even though Dialogue from Balgruuf suggests that you were supposed to be able to do it that way, and it came down to bad scripting. Buuuuuut nope! Game just decided to say "♥♥♥♥ you!" to me anyway! :'( So, I've been forced to nuke my game... again. The first time I did literally was because of The Book of Love being broken.

Anyone using mods should at least have LOOT installed, as it will solve problems with load order. You should also use the Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch (USLEEP), which solve a large amount of bugs in vanilla Skyrim and its DLCs. I highly recommend both! Both should not cause any problem to your game!

It's not necessary to deliver the Golden Claw first. You can do that later, or maybe even never. Doing so simply leaves the side quest uncompleted and the claw stays in your inventory as a quest item.

As you already have the Dragonstone, use the following topics:

A1 is for asking about your reward. Not necessary as you will still be rewarded. A2 is for asking "what's next?". B1 is only used when Delphine is present.

If this doesn't work for you, use:

setstage mq103 190

Setting the stage to 180 (UESP) should only be used if Delphine is present. Setting the stage to 190 should automatically start Dragon Rising (mq104).

If this works for you, but Irileth does not appear, try waiting in 1 hour increments. This should make her appear eventually.

I don't know where you are getting your information from, but it is completely wrong. It is not the dialogue that starts or triggers a quest, it is the start of the quest that triggers the dialogue. It sounds to me like you borked your game a while back, and that is the reason for the quest not working. You need first, to have the Unofficial Patch installed, as it fixes literally thousands of bugs, and second, you need to rollback to an earlier save prior to your using any console commands,and prior to first attempting to speak to Dinya Balu . Using the console is a last resort, and only commands which are listed in the uespwiki or provided by a reliable forum regular (see the pinned topic Helpful Links and Refernces, Section 6, Miscellaneous for who those are) should be used - and only after making a manual save first. Too often, injudicious use of the console just further worsens situations, as opposed to fixing them.

But, it sounds like unfortunately your game is totally borked, and if you do not have an earlier save - and one from before any console commands were used, you will need to start a new game.
