DLC Dawnguard not available anymore???
I bought a new computer and installed Skyrim (the original version from 2011) again. The DLCs Hearthfire and Dragonborn are still there and have been installed automatically. But Dawnguard is neither installed nor available, although I bought it back then. However, the Steam achievements that you can only complete with Dawnguard are there. The store page of the Dawnguard DLC in the Steam shop (which I could only find via Google) shows me a hint that says: "At the publisher's request, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Dawnguard is no longer for sale on Steam and will no longer appear in your search." But I can still buy it for 19,99 €. But I won't pay 19,99 € for something I've already bought in the past. Why does Steam says the DLC isn't available anymore? I want my DLC back or I want my money back. WTF is this???

Maybe you should contact steam support?

Do you have a receipt for Dawnguard?

Unfortunately no.

The .esm and .esp files only need to be in the data folder of Skyrim and do not require authorization of any sort if you catch my drift

I've had this happen when more than 255 active plugins are on. To fix it, I'm not sure what I did.

Best advice I can give you is, launch skyrim via steam, NOT SKSE, and then check to make sure Dawngaurd.esp or .esm is enabled (It will be at the very top of your mods lists) If it is, check how many active plugins you have (I use LOOT for this)

If you are nearing 255 or right on it, perhaps disable a few and see if it flickers back on.

That's just a shot in the dark though.

As for it not installing, you may have disabled it or it may have been automatically disabled in steams library, as you can selectively enable DLC now in said new, smelly library.

Again- make sure that it isn't off when you manage your DLC's.

Absolutely do not use a site that Steam censors - it is censored for a reason, the reason being that that company has a record of defrauding the consumer. You can get any of the the DLCs or the original game from RELIABLE retailers, however (e.g. Amazon or HumbleBundle, to name just two).

If you bought Dawnguard, Steam will have a record of it - there is nothing that posting in the forums can do - we are not customer support. I will say, however, that those who bought two of the three DLCs were sometimes mistakenly given the third. This was corrected, however. Since then, though, anyone who had one of those "free" DLCs (or any non legal version) would have it removed if they validated files or uninstalled and tied to reinstall it.

As to the 255 plugin limit - the game disables from the bottom of the load order up, to meet the limit - it NEVER disables the game Master files (though why and how someone who legitimately knows how to mod their game would not know they are over the plugin limit, is beyond me).

Including Nexus Mod I've installed about 120 Mods, not more. But I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with my Mods. I've already looked for the esp. / esm. files and checked if everything is activated. They're not there. And Dawnguard isn't listed on my available DLCs on Steam. But thx for the advice.

I think you can be right. I bought the DLCs many years ago and can't remember exactly. It can be possible that I got a free DLC. I was able to play Dawnguard on my old PC on this account. But after my PC gave up a few months ago and after I bought a new one and reinstalled Skyrim Dawnguard was gone.

I actually had this happen to me as well. I randomly had the dawnguard .esm/.esp or whatever it is installed in my mod list, which I discovered after booting up the game one day to find I randomly got given the Dawnguard quest by an NPC. It was quite bizarre and if you google it yourself you can find other people saying they also got the DLC somehow out of nowhere.

If you cannot find the ESP it has come to my attention that Bethesda has hidden all availability of Skyrim LE and its DLC's, you will have to download them off a third party site like the guy above mentioned.

(Via amazon, or Humblebundle just to name a few [or G2Ä])

Since all of LE's DLC's are hidden you'll have to get a key online.

They are only hidden, I'm pretty sure they're still purchaseable provided you have the links. In fact OP says they can still purchase it but they do not want to because they were (likely mistakenly) under the impression that they already bought it.
