Infinite Magicka Exploit - How To
Hello there. This is likely something many people already know about, but just in case you don't, and you're having trouble managing your resources as a mage, this thread is for you.

There is an exploit related to items with Max Magicka enchantment that lets you never run out of magicka. It's caused by the fact that these items, on top of altering your max mana pool, change the amount of magicka your character has the moment they're equipped or unequipped.

Let's take the Novice Hood as an example. When equipped, this item grants you 30 extra magicka points. If you equip it on a level 1 non-Altmer character, it'll raise your max magicka to 130, as well as current mana pool (assuming it was full before equipping the hood) to 130. If you start using magicka and get it down to, say, 70, then unequip the hood, it'll not only reduce your max magicka from 130 to 100, but also reduce your current magicka from 70 to 40.

If, however, your curret magicka is below 30 and you unequip the hood, your magicka won't turn negative; it'll just go to zero and stay there. So if you had just 1 mana point and you unequipped the hood, you'd just be at 0. If you equip the hood right after, however, you'll still have 30 points added to your mana pool.

So if I favorite and bind the hood to a key, every time my mana is below 30, double-clicking that key (unequipping and equipping the hood) brings me back to 30. It's really simple and proves to be quite beneficial in the early game where all the spells cost a lot but you don't have access to enchantments.

Might as well pop the console open and toggle the tgm mode.

that's why you should play with requiem mod, it prevents you from changing clothes while in fight

The same reason why there are hundreds of thousands of views under videos showing you how to exploit Greybeards to level up sneak instead of just typing "player.incpcs sneak" in the console or using a batch file.

That's not why you *should*. this isn't a mutliplayer game where you're at a disadvantage against those who use the exploit. You just don't have to do it if you don't feel like it. Even though I just discovered this I likely won't use it because I like to be challenged in fights and not use exploits. I don't need Requiem for that. I just won't toggle the hood every time I'm low on mana.

There is no reason as to "Why", because there is no reason as to "Why not". I am not trying to prove that it's the best option or something, I'm just pointing out that it exists.

why would people waste 30 mins exploiting a glitch when you can do it in 5 sec with the console?

What 30 minutes? Unequipping and reequipping a hood takes less than a second

Dont be so salty guys, there are still players without Console because they playing on one :D
For them its maybe a good Tip that Google spits out and for pepole dislike Cheating but use glitches like that, speedrunners as example.
