Sunderstone Gorge crashing

Hey I just recently picked back up playing again and I'm at sunderstone Gorge to retrieve the stone of barenziah for a quest and it crashed on me right after I pulled a chain to open a gate. Anyone having this problem and know if it is being worked on? I've done any update that comes across on steam. Thanks!

Oh dang. So many mods. Any particular one that may help? I should also note I have like a ton of Lydia's running around and that's probably not helping. I used a console command to have them help me a couple of times but I had no idea they just kept spawning new ones. Figured it just teleported them to me.

I actually have not added any mods and I also do not have any expansions in for Skyrim so just bare bones. i tried again today after turning it off all night, then put it on low quality graphics to see if maybe I was overloading it, but it was still cutting out within about 30 seconds playing it.

I see I missed this earlier. Do you still have a save from before you messed with the console commands? It's likely you screwed up the game with a command and this could be the cause of the issue.

I do I was actually about to do that right now just to see. I think I saved not long before that. Is it true autosaves can screw things up too?

The only way the autosave will screw something up is if you rely on it instead of making hard saves throughout your game.
