I need help enabling crash logging. I'm using Skyrim Mod Organizer. I've googled and done the following.

C:\Users\[myname]\MyDocuments\mygames\skyrim\Skyrim.ini

added lines

[Papyrus]
fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS=500.0
bEnableLogging=1
bEnableTrace=1
bLoadDebugInformation=1

Then after a crash I go to C:\Users\[myname]\MyDocuments\mygames\skyrim\Logs\Script and there are no files there. I put in those lines several crashes ago and have never seen any log files. How do I enable crash logging?

Thanks, I'll try it and get back to you if it works.

If you want, list out your load order from mod organizer here, both the left and the right pane load orders and we can see if there any conflicts or such.

It works. Thanks.

Best answer I've seen! thanks.. no one else had mentioned that you had to edit the ini (thru) MO; and it WORKED! now to go thru all those lines and find all my conflicts/missing items. thanks again

Edited OP with better title to help people searching for this and a solution provided by SmooshieBanana.

Just so you know, the Papyrus log is NOT a crash log, and is more often than not completely useless for figuring out the cause of a crash.

It's really only useful for debugging scripted mods, and even then it takes a skilled eye to make sense of.

is it possible to edit those ini files with vortex? if so, how?

Just run a search on your pc for skyrim.ini and pay attention to the location as it will find more than one. The one in documents/my games/Skyrim is NOT the one you want as organizers use their own separate version.

In MO2, its found under "M02 INSTANCE/profiles/skyrim.ini
(not MO's own folder, but where it stores the mods)
