Tolfdir not appearing at Saarthal.

I've been scouring the forums for a solution and no one gives any clear cut answers. Tolfdir isn't showing up at Saarthal, what am i supposed to do to get him to show up? If it's a console command, please type out verbatum what i am supposed to put in. Thanks

Did you went to that place after getting the quest? Have you tried waiting for a few hours in-game?

Occasionally, Tolfdir may not show up at all and the quest will be stuck because he cannot unlock Saarthal. This may be triggered by Tolfdir fighting an animal nearby and remaining at that position.

Use the console command prid 0001C1A1 <enter> followed by moveto player to solve this issue.

Tolfdir and the other students walk to Sarthal and they may encounter frost trolls, ice wolves or other such nasties on their way there that holds them up. They may also in the course of the fight get stuck behind a rock or some such. I've had this happen to me before and only found out the problem when I backtracked their path toward Winterhold and found them all stuck.

Not sure if Tolfdir is set as essential, I would think that he is, but if a vampire is attacking Winterhold while he is passing thru and he joins the fight, he could possly get killed if not set as essential.

Ok i was just doing the console command incorrectly.... glad this works now
