How to remove flame / frost / lightning cloak effect

Anyone know how to actually remove the visual effects? I can't stand having my whole screen taken up by flames

I don't know how to remove the effects but there's a mod that limits the visual effects.

If you are using USLEEP, then team added a new shrine in to Whiterun temple of Kynareth, which removes obsolete stuck effects. It's in the right alcove, when you enter from the square.
