i googled the question and searched "quickly" on steam boards...

why does my bow shows 186 dmg and my actual dmg ( bottom right corner) shows 1890 dmg?

If you recall in my post in your other thread, I said that I was only getting the damage showing with 3 digits, (e.g. a maximum of 999), with anything over not being reflected in the damage shown in the box (though it did show correctly at the bottom of the screen, and, after testing, saw that the correct damage was indeed being dealt).

When I googled, found several threads that referred to this: https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrim/comments/3496ly/skyrim_doesnt_show_4_digits_damage_number/

Apparently it is just a limitation of the display that only allows a 3 digit number (much like names can only be a certain length unless you change it with a mod).

Yep, and strings for save games are limited to ~20. If you go over that with a custom save name, you get the ol' "...". By the way, some characters will turncate the name also, like "+".
