Can't start Bards College sidequest

When I was made a Bard at festival the guy told me that since im the adventurous type some other people at college may need my help. I know that quests like Pantea's flute should start when I talk to her, but for each of the quest givers nothing to shows up. Not even a dialog box.

I can't revert back to a older save, I've tried restarting the game, doing another quest and fast travel. None work. Help?

Don't you have another quest of the same type, some kind of fetch quest? If that's the case, maybe you have to finish it first. For instance, and IIRC, if you start a quest to retrieve a book, say for the captain of solitude, you won't be able to start the quest to find the book for the smith in Dawnstar.

I do have that started actually! Its the quest where I have to collect a book called The Mirror for the captain. Thank you, I'll finish it ASAP and will give an update.

I finished the quest... still can't start the those side quests.

Well the example was actually of a book quest preventing the player from starting another book quest. But if you don't have any other active fetch quest, such as Amren's sword, it might just be bugged. Then you might as well force the quest to start with the console.

Oh god. Yes I do have more fetch quests... siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh. I'll report back here when I've done them.

For those quests, I will go get the item before I get the quest. In fact, I usually get all 4 Bards College items before going to Solitude.

Maybe check the wiki first, to see what other quests might interfere (if any). For instance with Amren's sword, only Shavee's amulet is the same type, and it's mentioned on the wiki that you can't have both simultaneously.

And keep in mind it's just a possibility, could be an entirely different issue like a mod conflict or some obscure bug.
