Modded Skyrim keeps crashing during combat UPDATED

So I've finally gotten back to Skyrim (again) after a long hiatus due to frustrations regarding modding. As such I made sure that I did all the steps before starting my new game; I loaded all the mods that I wanted for a specific character (I use mod organizer); I ran loot to clear out mod load orders, I cleaned all the mods that needed to be cleaned, I made bashed patches, the works.

So far in two of my try-outs (in my first I tried using mouse and keyboard, but it just felt awkward so I had to restart with specific combat mods removed in order to use a controller since there aren't enough buttons for Dual Wield Parry), every time I'm in combat with some bandits just outside Riverwood; the game keeps crashing to my desktop at this very specific area, on a bit of elevated ground at the curve in the road just before Riverwood. This even happend when running to Riverwood with Hadvar.

I love Skyrim, but going back to playing it without mods just feels unthinkable, and I'd really like to have at least ONE playthrough without problems. Could someone please help me?

Well, I'm out of ideas. LOOT keeps changing the order every time I reorganize manually and spending hours doing the same thing over and over is making this feel like it's not worth it.

Does LOOT keep moving the same mods. I think the most I ever had to reorganize was 3 times before LOOT made no changes to the load order.

That looks right to me. Of the mods I know I see nothing there to cause crashes. Is the recreatable? Did you use the console command tb to turn on cell borders? If so, are you crashing near or at the cell borders?

In Convenient Horses MCM menu is a script latency option. Enable it and keep an eye on it while playing, what kind of numbers are you seeing? Ignore any numbers while in menus and loading screens.

Borders don't seem to matter. Been loading from an autosave (right after exiting the cavern under Helgen), as loading a quicksave past the border I usually crash at makes the game crash upon loading up.

Latency seemed pretty stable aside from a few spikes during loading.

50ms (Hi:76ms Lo:19ms) right before CTDing.

Nope. Those numbers are right where you want to be. Around 50-65 normal. No more than 100 in combat.

So not crashing at cell borders which means memory is probably not a factor. Latency is good so not overtaxing Papyrus. It's got to be something in the mods or background programs (less likely). Make a profile with no mods except Alternate Start and USLEEP. Test and see if we still crash.

By USLEEP I assume you meant Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch, and Alternate start had no problems in running to Riverwood with Ralof (I needed at least some alteration after replaying the Imperial path eight times now).

Looking at Skyrim without the mods, I think Flora Overhaul might be a little too much since I live in a region of the world with the climate comparable to Skyrim, so I might remove Skyrim Flora Overhaul, albeit I do like the trees...

I use the same mod version as well with unique flowers and unique ground covers and grasses without any issues.

did you make the ini grass adjustment? I don't think that would CTD if forgotten and only render improper if at all.

I am also curious what may have been the issue.
