its a collectable, there are a few different ones to collect in game

now you can turn stuff in the Inventory around, now look at the underside of the jar lid - no one has solved that one ;-)

It's a reminder of the simple joys of childhood, in a less-complicated time: back when there were no iPads and someone didn't accuse you of insect abuse when you had a butterfly collection. I love those things.

IIRC, if you leave the jars out in the open in your greenhouse it attracts more of whatever's in the jar. So the bee in a jar will attract more bees, and so on. I never tried it out so I don't know if that's accurate.
