Skyrim size problem

The average size for skyrim legendary edition is 13gb, mine is 8.
I'm paranoid that the game would be buggy because of the missing content
Is this a bug in steam? Can I fix this somehow?
Perhaps its because I bought the retail version of the game but installed it through steam.

What went wrong? Did you check your data folder to see if the DLCs are there?

Try using Ilja's Validating Master Files:

All the dlc-s were already installed, I checked the individual sizes and here are the results:
Main skyrim files: 5.47 gb
Dawnguard dlc: 1.10 gb
Dragonborn dlc: 1.67 gb
Hearthfires dlc : 137 mb
High res dlc: 1.15gb

I guess that I'll have to download files from someone else.. I'm just afraid that I'll have to do that every time I install this game.

You're not missing anything, and those sizes match up to mine. What is the size of your Data folder?

EDIT: You're probably missing the other two high-res files.

Verifing the game files will restore them. You've not run out of free disk space have you, 'cause its strange that you have HRTP 3 and not HRTP 1 and 2? (judging from your size of 1.15GB) They come as a set of 3 when you download the HRTP from Steam.

Sorry for bothering you this much, but how do I verify my files?
