Is Frostbite Venom even worth it honestly?
I'ts a very common venom but it only does 5 points to health and stamina for only 4 seconds. Yeah it can be good but is it really worth tipping an arrow after every shot just for the minimal damage it does? What do you guys think?

I don't see the point in it :/

I don't think people actually use it.
It's more just there to add low level items to the game, making it seem like it's harder to level.

Yeah true. I think it's nice to have pointless items in games sometimes. For some reason it adds depth and scale to what is strong and what isn't...
its good if you dont have any other poisons, and if you want that tiny advantage in combat.

I don't even bother picking it up half the time. My carry weight is better spent on making slow/damage-health potions once I get the right materials.

The only time I use it is at the beginning of the game when I'm trying to escape Helgen. It's somewhat useful against that sleeping bear. Other than that, you may as well just make your own poisons.

Short answer: Nope - it has a pretty bad weight/price ratio so dont even worth realy to take with you.
By the way it usualy dont last for 1 Hit, there is even a perk that gives you more of it - But till you get that you have anyway a hundert times better Ones :steamsalty:

None of the poisons are. Too fiddly to apply, do too little damage compared to the weapon itself to be worth it.

Maybe if, for some reason, you're doing a strong sneak and pickpocket build and want to put it in people's trousers to kill them. Which is just going to take longer than wacking them with a pointy stick.

You've obviously never tried using a Paralyze poison. If anything, that one is overpowered. Almost every enemy in the game will be affected, including Giants.

If you don't invest any perks into alchemy then maybe.. you're better off making your own poisons.
never bothered with frostbite as a poison, I do use poisons, just not that one, I just sell it on.

Yes I have. And . . . it knocks them down so I can beat on them with my pointy stick. Which I was already doing. Doesn't kill them any faster, just makes it *slightly* safer for me to do so with my maxed out armor rating, massive health bar, and 5000000000 elk steaks in my inventory.

Oh yeah! Two I like even better:

I love the damage magicka regen potions against spellcasters - once they empty their magicka reserves they're useless against you, and 20-30 seconds is enough to kill them. It's also really easy to do simple combinations that also damage health or magicka along with the magicka regen.

Slow is almost as good as paralyze, IMO, because fewer can resist it, and you can just dance in and out of melee range and keep hitting them while dodging. It's also really easy to get a damage health+slow effect - Deathbell, Salt Pile, and (I think) Imp Stool, all really common elements, and the combined effect also levels your alchemy skill faster when crafting them.
