[SOLUTION] Anton Virane invulnerable/unkillable

During the missions of the Dark Brotherhood, this bug may present itself. However hard you try, Anton refuses to die (even by the power of the console).

Here is how I solved it:

1. open console ( ` key)
2. type: setstage DB08 10
This will make it seem like you killed Anton successfully in the quest log
3. Proceed with the quest as normal
4. Festus will be rather angry for Anton still being alive. You have to go back.
5. Go back to Anton (there wont be a quest marker this time) in Markarth. He is in the Understone Keep in the Kitchen
6. Send his soul to the Void.

Like some other characters in the game, Anton may be still set as essential by previous scene. You can also try the following solution, which fixes other similar cases - like Alduin sometimes being left as essential.

1. Open console and select the target character through it.
   
2. Type: disable [ENTER]
   
3. Type: enable [ENTER]
   
4. Close console.

Anton, Alduin and similar characters should now refresh and the obsolete essential flag from previous scene should also get removed.
