The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
No marriage dialogue?
I've never really had this problem before, but it's been happening ever since yesterday. I once had a custom follower, (Kaidan 2), but it didn't work out and I wasn't a big fan. So, I uninstalled it and I decided I wanted to marry a female instead. (My character was also a girl, and I wanted to try something new.) I get a new amulet of Mara from Maramal, and I decided I could marry Brelyna Maryon. I did her quest, and anything needed to get her to mention my amulet. I went up to her, amulet EQUIPPED, yet she didn't mention a thing. I tried to reset any marriage quest, and I even tried forcing marriage but it still didn't work. I got a new amulet, nope, nothing. I tried to go back to a save, but that didn't work. I went up to Balimund in Riften, and then got what he wanted. He did mention the amulet, but I didn't have the option of "Interested in me, are you?". There was only the regular dialogue, nothing having to do with marriage. I don't know if it's because of my previous mod, and I do have 'Improved Adoptions' installed, which COULD conflict with spouses. But I disabled that, but it didn't work. I don't know what to do? Any possible fix is welcomed, but please note:
*I did have it equipped, and I did buy it from Maramal.
*I did all of her quests, and it's all the same for everyone else that's a marriage candidate.
*I did verify my game files
*I did try cheats that can reset Maramal's marriage quest, and forcing marriage dialogue.
Thank you for taking the time reading this.

I'd suggest you need to load a previous save before you had proposed to your earlier partner.
Or before to tinkered with console commands to force marriage.

Do a quick test load a save from long ago before you'd asked anyone about marriage ... and see if you can do a normal marriage with Brelyna Maryon.
If you uninstalled that mod and then continued on that same save, that could be the problem there, as Kaiden likely has scripts that are related to the marriage quest. The vast majority of mods cannot be removed mid-playthrough, as all data is baked into the save. If you did indeed continue using that save, your only options are to go back to a save made before you installed that mod, reinstall the mod and go back to the last save where that mod WAS installed, or start a new game. (For full info re this see: http://steamcommunity.com/app/72850/discussions/0/1495615865205745360/ )
Okay, I'll try both of these and see if they work, thank you
Also, if you were married, the game does not allow you to remarry as the fact of you being married is baked in and the game therefore see you as being married - though that is pretty much irrelevant as the far more serious issue is removing a mod mid-playthrough.

If you did remove that mod and continue playing, don't even bother trying anything else - I outlined the only 3 options available to you in that case - there are no others.

Ah, okay, that makes sense.
There are mods that allow you to divorce and remarry, the one I've used for years is:
Simple Divorce - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52909

Also, unlike in real life, you don't have any hefty lawyer fees.

It is a pity that marriage in skyrim is such a debacle.
The only great wedding I had was in a playthrough with Vilja ( follower mod ) that is so comprehensive with better hot keys to chat while roaming around and developing a true friendship, even if her voice was a bit grating..
The thing that gets me with Vilja is she's such an airhead - ask her to lead the way from Whiterun to Riverwood and you'll go by way of Solitude.

True but it's still your choice when or if you let her lead.

Also I found that she can maintain staying in front of you even if you are running flat out ... while she is supposedly leading. Thus guiding her where you want to go. That took some figuring out. She has lots of fun things though like teleporting to your favourite places. She can talk about anything you see and discover ... plus you can tell to Shut up if you want.

Pity that more follower mods don't get as well structured.
I made that mistake of letting her lead - once. She really is excellent (and I never minded her voice at all). I need to get a team of her and Inigo together - that will probably be after Etienne gets back from the Alik'r Desert and Manny's Gray Cowl mod.

No. Dudestia's multiple marriage mod is broken and not recommended. There was a mod, which was removed several years ago by the author and has become lost to the ages (Lovers In Skyrim - except for my copy which I do not have installed), but I find that Amorous Adventures and Flower Girls serves the purpose as, though they do not allow multiple marriages, they do allow multiple lovers (concubines, if you will), which is more realistic anyway.
Agreed Lovers is always easier in skyrim than a marriage where it goes from excited to see someone to ... "Dear can you cook me a meal today ... oh your shop made some money" ... well bye.... see you briefly next time I'm in the District .. (without my girlfriends that is)
