Bow and Arrows not working?

Hi! I use a level 43 wood elf where I only use mods that improve the sounds/display (besides the DLCs), and I recently ran a rather frustrating problem.

I use my Auriel bow a lot: hunting, fighting, shooting guards, make the sun turn black, etc. After about a year of not playing Skyrim, I finally found my long-lost saves and started playing again, only to find out my archery wasn't working. After attempting to load an arrow, it barely gives me a chance to aim before shooting and falling within three feet of me. I've already searched this problem up, but the solutions offered did not work PERMANENTLY (ex. repeatedly shooting off arrows until it works again).

I've put a lot of perk points into archery and I don't want to lose all of that. I know I can just use console commands but I feel like that kind of ruins things (I used to play it on the xbox 360).

Start a new game .... ( obviously would be easiest with an alternative start mod )

Then when you can save normally so after intro or leaving the alternate start location.
Give yourself a bow or get a bow and see if it happens in a new game.

Then load your previous save and test it there is it the same?

reinstall the mods or turn off the bow and arrows mods or check if you are missing any patchs for the mods, basically just test, no such thing as an easy fix with mods :/
