Can you reach everything in game without lockpicking, pickpocket and theft?
If you decide to go "ethical" route in this game, will you somehow be rewarded with ethical access to locked places and be able to reach the same places you would reach with lockpicking, pickpocketing and theft, I mean the other characters and owners will in the end give you access to all items and dungeons and locked rooms? or you will be missing on some stuff?

Yes, you can. If you dont count some 'storage closets'.

What about secret rooms? the jail area for example? is there a scenario where you are given access to that area because of favors to the jarl?

Nope.

Most jails hace secret passages. You dont even need locpicking.

Secrer rooms are usually mission related. Some cant be accessed unless you activate the right quests.

Also with high speech you can talk you way into places ... like jails with high speech and being the Thane of the hold.

Also the mod Knock which allows you to knock on the houses of people you have met will allow you in ... also helps if your speech is higher to convince them.

You could put in place a set of rules before you play. But you would miss a lot of secret rooms in dungeons and chests.

Lockpicking is not required, no. But you will miss a great deal of the treasure and loot.
Eternie Feb 1, 2019 @ 9:27pm
Usually the treasures chests are disappointing ... at least tell yourself that each time you miss one! Though the practise chests in the thieves guild have levelled loot.

Also if trying to be ethical you could use "the mod Thieves Guild for good guys", where you can be a force for good to turn the thieves guild into a respectable faction.

Also as mentioned above if you pickpocket bandits ... such that you can pickpocket their weapons or treasures before or instead of fighting them.

The speech idea is nice, I my knowledge about it is minimal, I will read more how to improve it. thank you!

Very good tips, but how can you get close to bandits hidden, they see me a mile away lol

I was trying to understand if the game is supposed to be played ethically or unethically, it seems both routes are possible but much easier unethically, obviously the unethical is always the easy one :)

But loot is life lol I seriously enjoyed Borderlands because of loot alone not fighting, I enjoyed collecting and comparing weapons, this part of the game is what I enjoy so I pickpocketed a lot to get the 100 pound of extra carry weight, sadly it is more complicated in Skyrim.

You don't have to be unethical to level your lockpicking and pickpocketing. I dislike stealing, and don't steal at all nor do I join the Thieves Guild.

You can level pickpocketing easily by doing it to bad guys before you kill them from stealth. And lockpicking ... there's a million treasure chests and supply closets, you don't have to break and enter.

I don't like stealing too but I pickpocketed because I wanted the extra 100 pound, collecting weapons and clothes (upgrade parts) is the most fun for me in this game but it's impossible here because they weigh a LOT, I am thinking of restarting the game again for the third time but this is becoming too much, I don't know...

This needs a thorough reading, good info, I always google stuff like "What can I do with dragon bones" and I get good answers from stackexchange and fandom but some question I fail at finding the answer due to sentence formatting or mixed replies, so far I am finding Skyrim is unclear regarding many things, people shouldn't be asking such question, they should have taken some time and give some directions or notes to players (through characters of of course) about the consequence of this or that, I mean they spent a lot of time filling books with useless stories, they could have used it to guide players, the game is long and if you make a mistake it's too long to play it again, I mean you could play a guy who does not steal and steal by mistake while collecting stuff on table and not even notice it, plus I don't like the idea of giving up chests which is best thing in any game in my opinion, plus beside not going to jail I see no reward for not doing bad things.

Did you feel there was any kind of reward for doing that from the game?

Probably the opposite. Missed loot = Missed loot.
