Skyrim Mod 'Vigilant': Help needed.

So I'm having an issue with a quest in this mod that is preventing me from moving forward.

I'm stuck in the quest No Mercy where I decided to go back to Altano and tell him that I didn't want to hunt the witches. After his dialog ends, his right hand glows but.. he does nothing. Just continues to sit there. I've tried disabling and enabling him before and after the dialog. I tried reloading the game. I tried ditching my follower. I tried attacking him. Nothing seems to make him react. Is there a simple fix?

Welp, tried asking for help on the Nexus. Mod author responded with what amounts to "You are using some sort of combat/ai mod, and you are stupid for asking." Because I have yet to find the answer in the last 12 hours I've been searching. It bugs me, but after that response maybe it doesn't even matter. I probably will delete the mod, regardless of if it's good or not. Wildcat was the only combat mod I had installed that would affect Altano so.... whatever I guess? Answer anyways if you feel like it but I may not even try it at this point. Several days of gameplay out the window for a non-answer and insulting.....
