If you're playing a Nord, and wear armor piece with 60% frost resistance, you've 100% frost resistance?

Nords have naturally 40% frost resistance, so if you add 60% frost resistance from spell, frost is 100% harmless for you. Is it true?
(I need to know it because I want to be unkillable for dragons - fire and frost as well)

All elemental resistances get capped, something like 95%, so you will always get some damage.

If I recall correctly, the vanilla magic resistance cap is like 85%, physical resistance 80%. I don't know if the elementals have a separate cap, beyond the magic, though. In any event, to the OP, once you're up in skill enough to enchant well, hit the cap and drop a decent health regen enchantment on your armor, and you can basically stand there and laugh at them.

Just checked, elemental resistance caps at 85% too, but apparently it stacks with magic resistance to give an effective 97.75%.... which is why I had 95% in my head, just 2.75% off.
