The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
How to uninstall nexus mods?
i have a metric ♥♥♥♥ ton of mods on the nexus mod manager BUT dont have access to my nexus account anymore since it uses an old email. i have so many that it breaks my game so it cant even load up. i tried deleting the mod manager but it came up with a prompt saying that my mods will be intact. is there anyway to get rid of them? other than completely restarting my computer

just uninstal skyrim and delete skyrim directory from steam. Then install again.

If you want advice - use Mod organizer for mods. Its more save for modding

You can delete your Skyrim folders and directory as noted, and yes, you will have to reinstall workshop mods (but you can do that from the Steam 'play' screen).

On the other hand, if you haven't manually downloaded your Nexus mods and have them saved on your hard drive, you may lose access to using them. Why not simply untick the mods you don't want to use now. If they aren't active files they won't load (if I'm understanding your problem correctly).

To do this correctly, untick every mod you have loading in NMM. Then delete your Skyrim folders, download the game, and clean your master files.

Then, before doing anything else, copy and paste your Skyrim folder somewhere you won't lose it (you'll always have a clean/ready to play copy on hand and won't have to download the game again if you delete your Skyrim folders).

Next, open NMM and activate the mods you do want to use, run LOOT and any other programs necessary for your load order, and you should be able to play again.
