I am having problems with Nexus mods.

I am trying the get Nexus mods to run properly but it always says "The following updates failed: Nexus Mod Manager Updater: Could not get version information from the update Server.
I am to the point were I want to throw this laptop out the window and I don't want to mess with this any more sense I'm fairly new to PC.
So if someone can help me that would be greatly appreciated...

Nexus Mod Manager is becomming more and more broken, it is slowly being replaced with Vortex, which is not quite ready for prime time. Have you tried Mod Organizer or Mod Organizer 2?

I'm pretty sure you can just close this warning without a worry. At least I was doing so. And I was adding them to NMM manually instead of downloading through it.

With that said, yeah, I'd also recommend switching to MO.

Do you have SSE? Because Steam shows you do not own Skyrim. If you own SSE, you need to post in that forum to ensure you get the right advice: https://steamcommunity.com/app/489830/discussions/

Cause im not a tech go of what so ever and I don't even know how to do any of these functions I see in tutorial videos.
Can someone plz do this for me.

you don't need to be a tech guro to understand the basics,

first off, as smr1957 stated,
you don't seem to own the game,
see the small white mouse mark near my name?--------->it means i own the game,

it seem you are in the wrong skyrim fourms,
this is oldrim fourms[skyrim from 2011]

you probebly have skyrim special edition[the remastered skyrim from 2016],

try creating this same topic with the request in the correct fourm.
