However, I think using canon as the basis for this decision is a mistake, as we just don't know what's canon yet. That all depends on the next game in the series, and that's going to be awhile. Until then, it's all speculation, so I would just advise you to make a decision and go with it.
Serving the Daedra would definitely lead you to wearing Daedric Armor in representation of that service.
Continuing to carve your own destiny, free of daedric rule would have you using your accumulated stock of dragon bones and scales to fashion your armor from that and show your heritage as the Dragonborn not a daedric puppet.

It would be a fun little project to make an OP Iron Dagger with the smithing, enchanting, alchemy loop. I would name it the *insert Counter-strike voice* "Blade of HUMILIATION".
