Presets not loading properly
Basically what it says in the title.

Whether it's a character preset I made and saved, or one downloaded from the Nexus, none of them seem to load properly; the ones I made, when loaded, don't look anything like the original character, whilst the ones I download don't look like the screenshots, in a similar manner to the ones I saved. Help please?

do you have all the fashion mods you need for the preset?

Yeah, I've made sure that I have all the ones that I used/ were required/ recommended.

thats weird.

does the chars have changed face sculpts, too? its in the last tab of the racemenu. if it does you need to load first the sculpt preset and then the "normal" fashion preset.

check your installed presets if they using custom sculpts. the fashion preset is a json file, the sculpt is a nif file.

Cheers dude, I didn't think about the face sculpts, and that was indeed the problem.

Better to load the preset first, then the sculpt. Also when you load the preset it says what race it is, make sure race matches. Then head parts must match when you load the sculpt, you must switch to highpoly head facepart before you load the sculpt if it is needed.

When you have it loaded properly make your own saved preset AND a sculpt and you can use that to load it into other races. Sometimes presets work w/o sculpts between races but the reasons for that are too complicated to get into.

You can also have too many things loaded. If a preset was made w/o expressive facegen morphs but you have it loaded then the preset will look awful.

You dont really need all preset requirements for overlays like makeup and freckles. Just add overlays manually from the kits you have. Eyes are a mixed bag, some eye mods will replace textures that affect all presets and even NPC. Once you think eyes look good with the mods you already have don't install more eye stuff unless you are trying to fix a problem or you know what you are doing. KS hair is all you need with 992 styles, you can give KS hair to new presets, don't need to get every pack that exists.

Also, best put on some clothes. Bound to upset some people.
