High Res Texture Packs not in store?
So Bethesda removed the download links for these? I'm guessing I have to go pirate free DLC now? It's not listed in my DLC list and there is ZERO DLC even showing for LE.

You can find texture packs which are way better for free at Skyrim Nexus.

I saw that when I searched google for it. It doesn't work. The page opens to the pack, but I can't download it. Then when I try to click on the DLC itself, it pops up with the mature warning and I can't get past that page. No matter how many times I click, it refreshes. The DLC no longer exists in the store. None of the DLC for the game does.

The Hi-Res texture packs aren't required for mods .... It's the Dawnguard. Heathfires and Dragonborn DLC's you're thinging of ...

Wow, someone reported me for saying I would download a FREE DLC for a game that I OWN. That's pretty funny. But anyways, I got it all worked out. It's clearly a ploy from Bethesda to get people to buy SSE since all of the DLC was removed from Steam. Whatever floats their boat.

You still shouldn't use it though. It really is a terrible pack. There are texture mods on the Nexus that are actually more efficient than regular textures, and look better. They're actually decently optimized, unlike the official texture pack

in some cases yes. the few things the official high res texture pack ACTUALLY does though, you cant. you cant find better banned textures on the nexus. oh you can find plenty that are just a single layered texture lazily slapped on, that have a higher textel rate, but they actually look just as bad as the ones the game comes with. you can also find some overblown massive amounts of fog mods that spam terrible quality fog all over the map, as opposed to the HD texture pack which replaces the EXISTING fog with a higher quality one, and leaves the fog alone as theres already more than enough of it.

this isnt fallout 4. this texture pack is actually worth using. the only things it actually changes however, are the fog and banner textures. everything else looks the same.
