Runil in Hall of the dead of Falkreathe gone?

I'm trying to complete a quest to help three townsfolk. ive already completed 2/3 (this was a while ago) and im just playing again. ive tried to help hert and mathies but they're dead, denguir of stuhn and thadgeir have nothing for me so it looks like ive already completed them. so i thought i could do runil but when i enter the hall of the dead, he's no where to be seen. except i can always hear snoring from one of the beds inside, but still no where. is this a bug i can fix or am i doomed forever not to finish this quest?
