Skyui favorite grouping not working as it used to

I used to have a mage in my old Skyrim, so I decided to create a mage again. The thing is, in my old Skyrim, I used Skyui's favorite (hotkey or whatever) to quickly swap between my spells. for example, I had flame set to my F1, and heal set to my F2. If i pressed F1 twice, the flame would be equipped into both my left and right hand,and if i would press F2 in that state, only my right hand would be equipped with heal while maintaining flame on my left hand.

I tried to replicate that in my Skyrim SE but it's having some problems. Now, no matter how much I press F1, the flame skill will only be equipped into the right hand. It wont equip into the left hand (unless I set it manually and i don't want that because i would sometimes prefer to have my flame on my left and heal on the right.) can anyone tell me what is the problem here?

in the SkyUI MCM menu is an option to unequip the hands before equipping the hands new. might help you

F1?

F-keys are used as item group hotkeys for SkyUI. Numbers 1-8 are used for item and spell hotkeys.

Did you previously had another mod that changed that, or are you just clicking wrong buttons?

Remember you have to favorite them, then give em a Key in the Favorites Menu to bind Spells/Weapons to the 1-9 keys
