Using Shout: Bend Will on Black Book: Waking Dreams: Dragon

What is the correct way of using Shout: Bend Will on the Black Book: Waking Dreams: Dragon please?

I have all 3 parts of the Shout.

Does the shout only work when the Dragon is in the air and not attacking you?

I have tried very hard. When I use the Shout: Bend Will on the Dragon nothing happens.

Can you use the Shout when the Dragon is on the ground while the Dragon attacking you?

Do you use the Shout only on the Head, or can you also use the Shout on the Body?

You have to hit it with all 3 words, not just the first one.

Hit it anywhere, anytime, preferably before it actually attacks you, but it should work even then.

As listed in the UESP the shout works like all shouts, it is probably advisable to not attack a dragon that you want to ride. So Like the Dragonrend shout use is the same just that it won't work on dragons unless you have activated all three sections of the shout.

One thing I didn't add before: do you need to be touching the Dragon first before using the Shout?

No, you don't have to touch the Dragon.

However, there's a difference between having all 3 words and using all 3 words.

Hold down the button and actually shout all 3 words. You'll see a screen effect if you hit the dragon with it.
If it's still not working, you have a mod conflict. If you have no mods, then your game is FUBAR, because there's something horribly wrong and it will cascade to other parts of the game.

What key for word Earth?
What key for word Mind?
The third word is Dragon

I thought Z (magic power key) did all the words a Shout had.

Do I nead to use key Z with other Keys?

( You can see them in bottom right hand corner of the Skyui magic shouts page )

2 Is your Bend Will shout bright or greyed out?

3 How many other shouts have you learnt and can use?
4 Did you have trouble using those shouts?

Just to be clear you have gone into your magic shouts page highlighted the Bendwill shout then used the R key to allocate spare dragon souls to that shout, to make them active?

I have long last successfully used shout Bend Will on the Dragon.

I needed to keep the Z (Power) key press down.


I got this info from a web page:

Tapping the shout button will unleash the weakest version of the shout, holding it down briefly will release the middle version, and simply holding the button will unleash the most powerful available version of the shout. Once the shout is fully charged, your character will release it automatically.
