You should set up the enblocal.ini file for your system if you haven't already. See this guide for help.

Ok! So shift+12 DOES do soemthing. What it is i cant say. From what i could tell, shift f12 changed shadows on objects and npcs. It was a miniscual change, and none of the enb effects worked. I am using the enblocal.ini. Still no dice.
(Edit: im going to try downloading another enb to see what happens)

Are you getting the ENB active message on the top left of your screen when you start the game? And the two files, d3d9.dll and enbhost.exe, are located in your Skyrim folder, correct?
Its kinda bs that i have to downgrade a system on my computer to have BETTER graphics lmao. And yes ive quintuple checked my enb files and i have d3d9.dll and enbhost both in my skyrim folder

???
Welp. The message i get when running the installer is "DirectX setup has determined that a newer or equivalent version of DirectX has been installed already. No installation is necessary" Looks like thats not my problem then
"I know this thread is a year old but I came across it when trying to do the same thing. In case this result is coming up for others, I had success installing the June 2010 End-user runtimes on Windows 10 (not the 9.0c end-user runtimes, which gave me the same error mentioned in the OP)."
The package can be found here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109

I installed these files and got a prompt that says they were "ready for use" but nothing changes ingame. It dosent say anywhere on the antique dragon enb page about what to do with the files.
:(
My biggest confusion is the fact that I HAD A WORKING ENB but when switching it it stopped working
Rudy enb didnt work either. :(
Im getting a message about skse memory allocation telling me to install a patch that dosent exist anymore. Too tired to do this all tonight, maybe ill try tomorrow.
