Purple Textures (Tried Almost Everything)
First off, yes i have mods. But i've tried disabling all of them and they still appear, the only one that would affect the purple textures i have (things like some parts on the carriage, wood chairs, basically just wooden things it seems.) is the 2k textures mod, which i reinstalled, disabled, started a new game. None of them worked.

I used loot multiple times to sort my load order, still not working.
My gpu and pc as a whole is running it fine at near highest settings.
My configs/ini have been reset to defaults multiple times.
I reinstalled skyrim. But all i did was keep my nmm mods installed, reinstalled skyrim, verified files and tried again. To no avail, of course.

Only thing i can think that might help is in LOOT quite a few of my plugins/mods say they're missing some things like ''references'' and ''navmeshs'' and links to a cleaning guide. But i've had these show up before and it had nothing to do with my texture issues.

purple textures are an indicator for missing textures.

check that you isntalled the mods who affecting the problematic items in the correct way, if it is no mod problem check the files of the game itself.

if you cant find any solution which mod caused your problem, do a clean install and start from zero:

Sounds very much like SMIM, as smim adds new meshes to the horse and cart, and the wooden chair, and the meshes point to new smim textures rather than the vanilla textures (which is why you would see purple textures if the smim textures are not present or in a wrong folder). Heres the texture paths to the horse and cart and wooden chair in the SMIM mod.

Horse and Cart - textures \ smim \ furniture \ prisonercarriage \ smim_carriage_metal.dds & smim_carriage_seat.dds

Wooden Chair - textures \ smim \ furniture \ smim_wooden_chair.dds

If you don't see those then I'd recommend reinstalling SMIM. Pretty much sure that's the problem.

i just deactivated all my mods, reininstalled, verified game files and then installed my mods, sorted load order, played and still got the same purple textures on the same type of objects.
Edit: I deactivated the 2k textures mod and started a new game to see if it was the mod or the game, it still showed.

It can't be anything like 2K textures as its a texture overhaul, you should be looking for a mesh overhaul or a mod that alters the meshes. Have you got SMIM installed?

no.

Well, i'm telling you you have a mod installed that is altering the meshes on the wooden chair, the prisoner carriage and other wooden things if you are seeing purple textures. It could be meshes in loose files or it could be meshes zipped up in a bsa archive, but you should be looking at a mod that alters the meshes. List all your mods and I'll have a looksy.

This is the way meshes and textures work.

Some mods will just be simple texture replacers and will contain texture files only (like 2K textures). When the mod is activated the new textures will show up in game. If some textures are somehow deleted by accident or put into incorrect folders or the mod is deactivated, the vanilla texture will return and show in game (ie) no purple textures.

The main reason you get purple textures is because of meshes. Meshes in some mods point to new unique textures, like SMIM for example. The smim wooden chair has a new mesh and also a new unique texture to go with the mesh, and the texture has its own unique name and folder. If I were to delete the smim texture and keep the smim mesh, the smim mesh doesn't have a texture to display anymore, so the game displays it as purple.

So you need to be looking for any mods in your game that adds new meshes to the wooden chair, the prisoner carriage and other wooden things if you are seeing purple textures on them. I thought it was SMIM because that mod alters the meshes on the chair, prisoner carriage and wood with its own unique textures. Maybe you installed SMIM before and haven't deleted the files correctly and some of its meshes are still in your Data folder, but if not, its definately another mod that changes the meshes on those things you see in purple.

Well, pretty sure i did.
Here's what i did: Deleted all mods, deleted all saves and configs, verified game files, made sure i had all the folders in the clean install guide, then reinstalled game, installed my mods back and i had the same issue.
I disabled my 2k textures mod and it still showed (The 2k textures mod is THE only texture/mesh altering mod i have)

See my reply to Kalidor above first so i can clear a few things up.

Anyway, i wanted to say that when i checked my textures folder in skyrim it was missing a woodchair.dds sorta thing, even after reinstall.

I'll post any other visual mods besides 2k textures here and you can tell me if they're mesh altering or not

-Glowing Ore Veins
-2 Hair Mods
-RaceMenu
-PureWaters
-Immersive Armors/Weapons?
-Enhanced blood textures
-Dust Effects

Did you had the issues before you installed your mods back aka in a clean vanilla state of the game?

I did not check, at the time it did not occur to me to check the vanilla game because i was in a rush while installing all my mods, i wouldnt have had time to go through the opening sequence either
