So yeah, be more worried about breaking your save then losing achievements.
I haven't tried to rez her. I haven't used commands on Skyrim since it's release. My point is I have no other idea's on how to avoid her death bug...
I'm not a fan of named NPC's dying unless they need to. I just think it's ashame she has to be dead. I've seen a few people on the forums have the very same bug, suppose it's something that never got fixed so I'l just have to deal with it.
I know this. But the title stated Hastla from Dawnguard is dead in the castle hall, she shouldn't have died, no one attacked her. So therefore its a bug. I didn't say named NPC's shouldn't die.
Can't help much beyond that, as I've never seen this referred to anywhere. Maybe someone else has seen this and can post here.
Would be interesting to know if this is mod related or not.
I've never modded my Skyrim dude. I plan to once i finish the main questline/Guildes/DLC but I play completely vanilla at the moment. I've seen a few people on the Skyrim forum mention the exact same problem however they never got a solution. I pretty much installed Skyrim and the DLC through steam and played as is.
So unfortunately it's never been a big enough problem to get fixed. I just wondered if anyone had found a way to stop it happening, it's ashame to lose a merchant and potencial side quest for no reason is all.
Fixes literally THOUSANDS of bugs. Can't say for sure that this is covered in there (and it would not fix it retroactively, anyway), but there is a very good chance it would be if the team knew about it.
If it is not covered, you can use their bug report page to report it (Bethesda is completely done with the game - so they will not take any action on it at all)

Thank you dude, will take a look into adding this. I appreciate it very much.
