You just gained 0.5 speechcraft ... you'll need to talk more to gain more!

generally to level speech you get a ton of stuff, potions made thru alchemy.

then you go to some vendor and move potions back and forth, you sell him the potions, you buy the potions.

speech skill goes up. XP goes up per transaction so its better to sell 5 potions one at a time than 5 at once.

also skyrim has a stupid money cap glitch where if a vendor has over a certain amount of money you don't get any from the trade.

which is stupid because basic bug testing should have found it and it persists in multiple games and should have been fixed before it made it into 3 games.

The money cap is not a glitch or bug - it is a software limit.

The mod I linked also has vendors each With 100k gold or so.

Find the Speechcraft Skill Books.
Get one of the necklaces/amulets of Speechcraft.
I think the Shrine of Julianos confers a speechcraft bonus. Or is that crafting? Anyway, one of the divine shrines boosts your speech.

If you use the Restoration Loop, you can make that shrine bonus last for days, and buy at wholesale prices and sell at retail prices.

Shrine bonuses last until you use another shrine, no time limit on them.

Do the quest to join the Bard's College. Your reward is "The Gift of Gab" which in itself makes your Speechcraft improve 15% faster. Once you join the Bard's College, talk to Inge Six-Fingers for the Finn's Lute quest which gets you a level of Speechcraft for free. If you have the coin, Giraud Gemane at the College is a Speech trainer (5 points). Last, complete "Discerning the Transmundane" and choose choose the Path of Shadow for five points. Three quests (or four depending on your definitions) and a stack of gold = 11points, lore-friendly. Sorry for the not especially "Quickly", but you might actually enjoy yourself doing all these things.

The blessings given by shrines have a 12 hour limit on them.

Main thing to remember if you want to level speech legit is that you increase your skill based on the item value (NOT the price paid, the value you see in your inventory screen) and if you want to sell multiple items DON'T sell them as a stack, you get xp per transaction, essentially. If you have SkyUI, just go into the MCM and increase the number, I forget what it's called, but it's just above the choice of icons. Otherwise you'll have to keep dealing with "how many?" "1" "okay how many this time?"
