Skyrim crashes when I try to alt tab back to the game

Skyrim crashes when I try to alt tab back to the game, is there a way to fix this?

PS: ♥♥♥♥ you Todd you lazy POS this is a 7 year old game ffs

no there isn't,
its been like this for 7 years.....ether go window mode[not recomanded becuse the lighting is unoptemized thus making it super dark]
or full mode and use alt tab only when the game freeze on you.

before alt tabbing out of the game go in command mode (on pc)
never had problems after doing that

I used to get a black screen when alt-tabbing where all I could hear was the music but If I alt-tab again (Edit - back to skyrim even though it's on skyrim) it fixes itself. What type of crash is it? (Freeze, Force close, Error,?)

And these damn >60 FPS bugs too? Still? Jeez

I've never had the game crash when alt-tabbing, it just has a tendency to sit on the same screen unless I alt-tab a second time, it's like you need to cycle back on to it twice when going back to Skyrim.

And of course, SKSE. This should help with most crashes, and mroe stuff.

And about the >60 FPS stuff... The game is built to work on 60FPS, physics calculations and other stuff get weird with lower or higher than 60. Just limit the FPS and you won't have any issues. If you can't have that ("my frames!!!!") than get Special Edition, I believe that works better.

No the game is made for 30 fps. not 60, you can run it at 60 since you can double 30 up to 60.

Using "RivaTuner Statistics Server" to cap fps at 60, seems to be working, ty
