[solved] skyrim saves no more/creating no ini files

Hey Guys,

like the thousend of others i need your help because of some bugs i don´t know why they appear

I tried to fix it with the help of the internet, but all the problems are similar, not identical. I invested a lot of time to solve it to my own, but i´m completely exhausted.

I´ll try to keep it short.

2 weeks ago i tried to play skyrim as i usually do. 23 mods.. not that huge modder you see. using SKSE and LOOT. It´s not SE and the mods are subscribed through steam.

used mods:

a quality world map, lanterns of skyrim, stones of barenziah, bells of skyrim, birds and flocks hearthfire, dawnguard.esm, enhanced blood textures 3.6b, dragonborn.esm, improved interior lighting, real glass and ebony weapons, hearthfires.esm, highrestexturepack 01 02 and 03, hq snow texture, kill them generals, left hand rings, left hand enchanted rings drop, detailed mine map, more common dragon, open face guard helmets, pure waters, skyui, static mesh improvement mod, the paarthunax dilemma, unlimited bookshelves, unofficial high resolution patch, unofficial skyrim legendary edition patch, unread books glow

I started to play and recognize some sound bugs at the beginning... not that bad, take care of it another day. But then i died and came out 1 hour ago, although my last save was 1 minute before.

I tried to safe but it didn´t, neither auto save, new save.. nothing, only load was possible.

-So my First step was: tick all the boxes to give skyrim.exe and skyrimlauncher admin rights.

No change.

-Second Step:

verify cache by steam

-1 file requested
-no change.

-Third Step:
save all save games to another folder on desktop, unsubscribed all mods, deleted all mods, deleted skse, deleted skyrim about steam library (local content), deleted localapp/skyrim, deleted mygame/skyrim (everything about skyrim i think), deactivated the steam cloud, restored skyrim vanilla just to start a new game and seek out for the mistake.

After i restored Skyrim Vanilla, i thought everything should be fine.

But the same Mistake appeared, i tried to save in helgen with a new game but it didn´t worked. Furthermore i was only able to start the gamefrom skyrim.exe, skyrim launcher led to CTD. Sometimes also the exe crashed, so i had to reinstall SKSE, which worked.

I downloaded the game, the whole package with the 3 DLC´s and the high resolution pack. the standard legendary version right?

But the same thing happened, i used LOOT to sort, load and order the DLC´s - vain.

As i said, i´m trying to keep it short because before step three i did a few more things like:

-using tes5edit -> but it couldn´t find a ini (i bought the legendary edition years ago, if somebody think i have a pirate edition)

-changing the language of my steam version to english

-and checking the newest Nvidia driver

I just want to figure out why i can´t save anymore. All other Games run without bugs. There are more bugs in skyrim, like the sound bugs i mentioned above, it´s like i´m downloading wrong files from steam.

i cleaned my download Cach if that is coherently

I hope i mentioned everything.

Thanks for the help, I think there's a problem with the settings of the homegroup (win 10), error 1068

Finally i tried nearly everything in the list.

I thought the problem would be the homegroup because i was not able to create one, but it wasn´t. I solved this Problem and also the sound problems are gone, this happend after i updated my drivers.

I tried also the different types of compatibillity at the executives, the changes at the notifications and background applications and validating the master files (ilja).

I´m still not able to save a game, i´m also not able to change my options in the launcher menu.

is it about the admin rights? do i have to change the approval somewhere?

i´m still not able to save a game, also auto save isn´t working

but i found out that when i put off steam cloud and install skyrim without it, skyrim isn´t also creating an ini file, neither i have a folder in documents about skyrim. the data was created by steam cloud (?)

the cloud of skyrim is now empty, 0/200MB

After creating a homegroup, i installed skyrim and steam at users to avoid Windows problems, i also checked the rights about documents, skyrim and steam, and all of them have full control.

I put the folder documents\my games and \steam to exclusions of windows defender.

Did you delete all the skyrim files from AppData ?
C:\Users\XXXX\AppData\Local\Skyrim

Yes i did, i restored vanilla skyrim and before i deleted all data on C:

solved it.

windows defender caused the problems, although i put the folder to exclusions.

i put it off and on again, and now its working.

i don´t understand, i did this many times ago, why is it working now?

is there a way to let skyrim work through the windows defender?

the problem appears everytime i put on the firewall

Whitelist it.

I did, i whitelisted Documents\my games and \Steam

odd. I am using windows defender and presumably have the same AV definition file and same game, but I dont need any whitelist entry for skyrim and the game works. are you SURE there isnt another antivirus program running?

i did, but it´s still not possible to save. As a test, the tes5edit exe is also only working when the firewall is off. i put both data on the whitelist - crazy.

yeah, i am. i had to reinstall win 10 2 month ago, i decided to use only defender.

But it looks like i shoult try another one again.
