Mod for selling directly from follower
Hello,
Is there a mod that lets you sell the stuff that is inside you followers inventory directly to the merchant? So that you dont have to exchange stuff with your follower then sell it from your character. Or just a mod that combines you inventory with your followers?

Nope.
Just increase your weight limit. Its not a 'cheat', as the WL acts like chore, rather than restriction.

Nope. Doubt it.

Just trade with your follower. It's easy enough.

If using Follower mods like AFT (Amazing Follower Tweaks) there are settings in the followers dialogue which sets stuff for them to sell under certain conditions like having duplicate items sold.
Personally I have never used it as I like to know what I'm selling and what I get for it.
Also so that all the better weapons I give the follower they don't give away or sell.

The AFT mod hasn't been updated for a long time and some players as such don't trust it. I have used it for a long time and know it's limitations so I like what it does!

To see what AFT can do check out vids for Amazing Follower Tweaks Overview

The follower Vilja can sell stuff for you, she has uh... four separate inventory categories, one that's her 'active' inventory (ie stuff she will use - armour etc), two that are for carrying stuff you don't want her to use (I think that they both count towards the same carryweight total, it's more for organisation, so you can eg use one for 'stuff I might want to use' and one for 'stuff I want to put in my displays' or whatever), and then one that's 'things I want you to sell' - when you get into a town during business hours, you can then ask her to go and sell those things, and she'll say to meet her in a specified shop in a little while. When you meet up with her, she will no longer have those items, and will have a (seemingly somewhat randomised, but it usually seems reasonably fair) amount of gold in her inventory that you can take or let her keep.

(NB, occasionally, she will decide to go to the shops without you telling her to, so don't give her stuff to sell unless you're sure you want her to sell it.)

She also has the option, I think, to give her unlimted carry capacity, though I'd be wary of using this as it can cause problems opening inventory screens/containers if there's too much in them, and it's very tempting to just give an unlimited follower ALL THE THINGS.

Also, just to be clear, you don't get speech skill this way (and I would imagine this would be the same for any other mod where a follower sells stuff for you.)

There's also a few follower mods where the follower *is* a merchant, you could try looking for one of those if you're not keen on Vilja (personally I really like her, but I know a lot of people don't.)

alright thx guys Im using the AFT already and its pretty good, i'll look into using vilja but I might end up just giving myself upgrading my WL by console command since I dont like using followers that much

If you have the Dragonborn DLC, one of the Black Book rewards is a summonable Dremora Merchant, might be worth looking at - I think you can only summon him once a day, so a decent option for flogging stuff off at the end of a dungeon crawl, when you're getting weighed down. (I'm not 100% sure, though, he might be a 'lesser power', which can be used multiple times per day.)

He's got 2k septims, which I presume works like any other merchant and gets replenished every other day, and there's bound to be mods that increase that amount.

Of course, there's always followers that ARE merchants...

A mod I used for years was called "Instant Merchant" A merchant that can be summmoned to you. Who can carry some gear for you and who acts as a Merchant in whiterun. A bit cheaty in that she has 20,000 gold, but how often you use her is up to you.

I just appreciated being able to have someone to sell gear to after hours.

I will add a warning about using AFT, which is skyrim advice really and that is makes manual save you can go back to if you have an issue. AFT can allow you to change up to 30 characters with wardrobe changes for normal city and home wear. Just be aware that the more you add the more skyrim memory can struggle to cope with all the changes that it needs to remember.

AFT also has diagnoses and a reset however at times it is better to load a previous save and avoid issues. If you notice your game taking a long time to load into a specific area it may be related to all the changes you have made. So use ... have fun but be careful
