Thats a big oof. Did you change the code to play different sounds for footsteps? Or is it just a councidence that each time you step that sound plays. I guess turn the sound down for effects ( or footsteps?).

This is me NOT telling you that Bethesda, in their infinite wisdom, decided to tie the physics engine to the framerate. This is also not me telling you that it will probably damage your save in the future.

I don't understand how they get away with it either.

In that case, I guess you're not playing.

This, from Arthmoor (applies to SSE as well):
"Strictly speaking, the game is tuned to run at 30fps. It can go to 60 only because that's a convenient multiple of 30 and Vsync options are happy to oblige it. Havok will tell you to die in a fire if you push for 90 though."

grimus:
Rule of Thumb: Vsync (Verticle Refresh) set to always ON and FPS not to exceed 60. The game physics go wild if not. Sound default 24 bit 48KHz stereo and if Realtek then "Loudness Equalisation" on. If monitor is 120-144Hz then set it to 60Hz or adaptive refresh rate or some such from GPU utility program. If you can't then "FPS Limiter" from Nexus will do the trick. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/34/?

Because the game is 7 years old and over 60 fps wasn't really a thing back then. Nothing to do with garbage.... though it is bethesda we are talking about, just put a cap on it.

When this game was made, there was not many GPU/Monitors that could give more then 30-60 fps.
When should people stop be in one cave?

Remember, you are talking to a guy with a roblox name and profile pic: tread carefully.

If you don't play at 60fps, that is probably why.

Ah yes those ancient times where 60 fps screens were the pinnacle of framerate.
Silly me was playing on a 100hz CRT 1600*1200 , wish someone would tell me those didn't exist so i would not imagine things.
