shroud hearth barrow iron key location?
Hi, any one know where the iron key is for the unpickable loced door? (where the swining axes are). Ive been back and forth and cant find it, I have serched all the bodies & containers even the dragur behind the upright cofffins with the pull switch. There looks like a hidden door on the wall where you find the mage`s book, though havent found the button if there is one

Sorry I wasnt asking that, you cannot get to the locked iron door with out opeing the dragon claw door, I already done that, if you read the post you can see I have already progressed further into the barrow :)
if all else fails you can cheat
use ` (next to one) to bring up console and google heath barrow
find the items in it and get the hex code for that key
then use player.additem (hex code) 1
help is actually how i fast travel when i couldnt be bothered to travel to and find a place, type help, look for the section where it lists cells then use coc (cell name) to teleport to the cell (location)

Checking the Wiki for your quest, it mentions only one key (for an Expert level locked door) and says that the key is on a drauger you encounter before getting there.

hi, the door is located after the room with the 4 skelitons standing in the pool of oil and 2 oil lamps above thier heads, opposite side if that room is a passage way leading to the locked door it cannot be picked, there is also a trip wire that triggers 3 swining axes, I do check every body & container I came across. This is the only one out of the 700hrs and 100`s of dungeons etc I been through I havent found yet, could be bugged area.

Thanks for the cheat il give that a try next time I swing by the area

Just went thru the barrow until I reached this area. I already had the key tho (since I've done this already).

Confirmed it's not a load-screen door, so just simply clipping thru the door yourself is the fastest way.
-----------------------------------------
-Open console, type: tcl
(press enter, close console).

-You can now clip thru the door, just walk right thru it while it's closed.
-Once you're on the other side...

-Open console, type: tcl
(press enter, close console).
{to remove the cheat code}

Enjoy your game.

There are a lot of handles in that area, mostly upstairs. Using them usually triggers draugrs to exit their sarcophagus, perhaps op simply missed one of the handles. I never remember collecting a key so perhaps killing the right draugr automatically grants the player access. I just know using all the handles (not chains, handles) and I don't have a problem like this. Screenshot shows 1, but there are more.

Yea I found those, 4th one has a hidden compartment with a chest, but no key, I have read the wiki there is only 1 key but no info on where it is, some info I found on other sites say that has been said here its on 1 draugr. Also I may have found a hidden area Is mentioned where you find the mages diary on the table directly behind there what looks like one of those hidden rock doors but I havent found a switch or it could just be a wall. Ah, NM found the switch its the exit from the lower parts lol

Rofl, thanks for the wall clip cheat :D it worked got through the door, AND found the key on a draugr (Draugr Wight hodls the key) that was on the other side of the Door! Lol either I have a conflicting mod or a small bug that he ended up un the wrong side. One more likly possibility that happened, I didnt make enough noise before "entering the door" so he didnt investigate, after clipping the door in sneek mode I made a little noise and he went to the door and unlocked it and opened it himself lol.

Glad it all worked out. Sneaking can prevent some things from triggering I've noticed. So when your skill is high you have to keep that in mind. I know that I have used sneak and gotten past triggers before. Tcl is helpful in a game like Skyrim, which has clipping issues. You can kill an enemy and they will clip thru the floor sometimes (often they pop up elsewhere, not always the same area tho). Sometimes ppl get stuck in rocks/environments- clipping out is the fastest, sometimes 'only' way out of it.
