Skyrim Legend. Edition, Serena Bug- Serena not adding blood to bowl

Hello all, I try in English, but i'm not realy good ;-)
I play with windows PC the Skyrum legendary edition. It is a bought CD, not a steam download.
The Quest with SERENA, looking for her mother in her Labaratory, is not working. To open the portal, we need to put some things in the bowl. This is done. Than Serena is asking, if we are ready. Yes we are... but than nothings happenes. Serena should but her blood into the bowl to open the portal to find her mother. Bus serena is doing nothing. We are just "plain players" we don't know things about mods and so on. With this bug I heard the first time of the Nexus Mod Manager. We installed this and the inofficial patch, but still the same problem. We also visited the steam account settings with the fix game play issues. Still not working. Any ideas or help would be great. Thanks a lot in advance

Dont forget to save before you enter, that quest is full of bug.

thats the problem, serena is doing nothing. The portal is closed, because Serena does not add her blood.

I add all 3 thinks, than Serenas blood is needed. But she is just staying around, doing nothing. I can not tell her anything, she is not moving and the portal is closed. because it needs her blood

Reload some save? Sorry, don't remember everything (played long ago already)... Sorry .

Try to take down the console.
Click on Serana, write prid followed by disable and enable, make sure that you click on her and nothing else.
Close console, check if that works.

When asked to put the ingredients inside the vessel, they will be removed from your inventory, but the vessel will not be filled, and Serana will keep telling you to put the ingredients in, causing the quest to be unfinishable.

It is possible to manually advance to the next stage of the quest by opening the console and typing setstage DLC1VQ04 75 .
This can also be caused by multi-follower mods. Typing 'set playerfollowercount to 0' will let the quest continue normally. Once back out of the Soul Cairn set the value back to the number of followers you have.

When asked to speak to Serana after putting the ingredients inside the vessel, speaking to Serana does not advance the quest.

It is possible to manually advance to the next stage of the quest by opening the console and typing setstage DLC1VQ04 80.


Before you try using the console, I would reccomend loading a save you have from before this problem occurred. Preferably one made before you entered the area and were assigned that quest objective to find the ingredients. Maybe even before the quest started,

Thanks for your help. Using the consol with setstage DLC1VQ04 90 was the solution!
