College of winterhold follower problems (Mainly J'zargo)
So I finished the college of winterhold questline a few hours ago and got J'zargo as a follower. I'm going to say everyting that happend as I don't now what caused this and I can't find any answers elsewhere. So what happend is for some reason unknown to me J'zargo refuses to follow me.
I tried switching to another follower like Lydia, no avail. Tried commands, no avail. So what I think might have caused this was me command resurrecting J'zargo in the dwemer ruin before the staff of magnus quest. But I did notice the nord mage (not the dunmer because I married her) was saying similar things to J'zargo which i'll will put what he will say to me which is you've caused too much trouble or something. And J'zargo will say You've cause too much harm to me. I don't know why these two pretty mush despise me. One more thing to note is I am the arch mage now, if that helps anyone think of an answer to this.

First, resurrected NPCs will usually fail as their "Death" script runs when they die. After that they rarally act normally.

Second, if you have injured them during combat their relationship status towards you may change and they will not consider you a friend any more and therefore will not follow you. You may be able to alter this with a console command.

As mpd1958 said or better yet load a previous save before he died!
Make sure not to use the Resurrect command on anyone that you value and want to have around as a follower.
Don't think of it as losing game time think of it as fixing skyrim and being able to make new and better decisions.

I usualy don't dable in necromancy so I can't help you here. At best I've spawned generic mobs to fight using console... raising NPC is quite something else due to them requiring the actor (physical version), + script/dialog to work properly.

It's probably doable, if you look in TES Construction set for the various parameters to reset (script and such).

But it's probably way quicker to just reload as Eternie said. On the other hand, you have a way to learn about necromancy.... so wichever seems the most natural or unatural to you.

Did you ever figure this out? I have never harmed him yet I don’t see the option to make him my follower and he says “you’ve done enough harm to me” or something like that when J walk by.. :(
